<p>Inspirational Diva Jamie Rivera recently opened up about how she has been managing her rheumatoid arthritis, a chronic autoimmune condition that affects the joints.</p><p>In an interview with Julius Babao for his YouTube vlog, Jamie candidly discussed the risks and challenges of living with the disease. &quot;Sa joints &#x27;yan eh... kapag hindi ka nakainom ng gamot [or]  hindi mo trineat &#x27;yan, it is disabling but it is not fatal,&quot; she said. &quot;Kapag hindi mo inalagaan ang sarili mo pwede ka ma-disable.&quot;</p><p>To manage her condition, Jamie said she strictly follows her treatment plan, which includes regular medication and monitoring. &quot;Maingat ako. So naramdaman ko hindi ako makalakad so ayun nagpunta na ako sa doctor tapos tinake &#x27;yung blood ko.&quot;</p><p>It was through those blood tests that her rheumatoid arthritis diagnosis was determined.</p><p>Jamie rose to fame as a pop singer in the late &#x27;80s</p><p>From singing, she also had the opportunity to enter the world of theater and took on various acting projects.</p><p>In the year 2000, a new opportunity came that changed her life.</p><p>&quot;&#x27;Yung dumating sa &#x27;kin &#x27;yung opportunity to sing the Jubilee song in year 2000, right away, I grabbed it. I thought that it would be a great honor and privilege to serve the Lord, to sing for Him,&quot; she shared in a recent interview on Tao Po of ABS-CBN News.</p><p>Since then, Jamie has focused on singing inspirational songs.</p>
