<p>Ogie Alcasid reflected on how his blended family with former wife Michelle van Eimeren, with whom he shares two daughters, Leila and Sarah, has worked successfully over the years.</p><p>&quot;Kami ni Michelle, hindi ko naintidihan kung paano nangyari &#x27;yun. By God&#x27;s grace, we&#x27;re the best of friends. Her husband is my kompare,&quot; Ogie said in an interview with Aster Amoyo.</p><p>Ogie emphasized that letting go of old wounds was key to making their blended families work. &quot;It can work out and you have to let past wounds be healed and no grudges. Napakaiksi lang ng buhay kasi,&quot; the singer said.</p><p>Ogie is now married to Regine Velasquez, with whom he shares a son named Nate. Meanwhile, Michelle is married to Mark Morrow.</p><p>Ogie relayed that the families make an effort to spend meaningful time together, especially during special occasions. &quot;Kaming apat I think subconsciously or unconsciously, talagang kina-career namin na magkita-kita kami &#x27;pag Pasko,&quot; he said. &quot;Ito ikakasal si Leila this year, magkikita kami ulit. Triple celebration. Nagpunta kami ng Sydney. Ogie shared that he was there when Michelle’s mother passed away earlier this year. &quot;Lately, kasi namatay ang mommy ni Michelle, two months ago, I went there again. Family ako eh. Ako nagbuhat ng casket, siyempre ako rin &#x27;yung singer. And that&#x27;s how we are, we are family.&quot;</p><p>Ogie and Michelle also both attended each other’s weddings to their respective current partners.</p><p>Meanwhile, in an interview with Ogie Diaz early this year, Regine also shared how they maintain the strong bond of their blended family.  </p><p>&quot;[Ogie] really worked hard on that. Tinuro niya iyon sa akin, kinausap niya ako, inexplain niya hanggang sa nasanay ako. Ginawa niya rin iyon kay Michelle. Trinabaho niya iyon and dinasal niya ng bonggang-bongga hanggang sa naging maayos kami,” Asia&#x27;s Songbird relayed.</p>
