EXCLUSIVE: Sue Ramirez on accepting unconventional roles: ‘I consider myself very, very lucky!’

I’ve been doing unconventional roles ever since before parang na-peg talaga ako sa mga kakaibang pelikula. The 29-year-old actress admitted she immediately jumped at the opportunity to play Inna.</p><p>“Nung pinitch ito sa akin, I didn’t even bother reading the script. Parang when they gave me the synopsis nito, anong kuwento ng <em>Flower Girl</em>, sinabi lang nila sa akin agad na si Inna ay mawawalan ng poochy. At dahil nakatrabaho ko na ang Idea First before at alam ko kung gaano sila ka-ingat talaga sa akin when I did <em>Ang Babaeng Allergic Sa WiFi</em>, wala akong doubts in my mind talaga when I accepted the project.</p><p>&quot;I know that it was a production that I can trust. I will be safe on our set and ang pinakamalaking factor I think is, kapag ganito ka-sensitive ang material, you have to be comfortable and you have to trust the people that you are working with, and I fully trust the people that were on set with me. All the scenes na maseselan, hindi ko talaga naramdaman na kailangan ko mailang, na kailangan ko i-protect yung sarili ko. He wrote it and he directed it also. So I’m so honored kasi ako yung napili niya para maging si <em>Flower Girl. </em>It’s our first time working together. But I know of him because I loved the movie <em>Patay Na Si Hesus</em> which I watched so many, many times. Talagang in-a-absorb ko yung pelikula na yun tapos na-manifest ko rin siguro talaga na makatrabaho ko si direk Fat and I’m so happy that I did because iba siya mag-isip, iba siya gumawa ng kuwento, iba siya mag-direct. He really knows what he wants and he really wants to get the message across when he does things,” she said. </p><p>Watch Sue in the upcoming romantic comedy film <em>Flower Girl</em>.
