EXCLUSIVE: Maxie Andreison is happy to return to acting in new comedy ‘Flower Girl’

<p>As part of the cast of Sue Ramirez’s quirky new romantic comedy film <em>Flower Girl,</em> drag queen Maxie Andreison admits she is really looking forward to working on a movie again after eight years. The 25-year-old drag queen and singer, who also won the third season of the reality competition <em>Drag Race Philippines</em>, sat down with PUSH ABS-CBN in an exclusive interview held earlier this month. </p><p>“Ang last kong movie is parang before the pandemic pa, so matagal na. ‘Yung comedy na <em>Trip Ubusan: The Lolas vs. Zombies</em>. Ngayon naman, siyempre marami akong drag opportunities so mas binibigyan ko ng pansin ‘yung pag-da-drag but I really, really love to act. Gustong-gusto ko ‘yun. ‘Yung mga challenges lalo na sa pag-aartista. Iba rin kasi ‘yung discipline kapag artista ka. Iba rin ‘yung discipline kapag sa drag. So sa dalawang bagay na yun, marami akong natututunan. Para siyang tropa lang. Meron siyang trust sa akin so parang hindi ako masyado feeling na nagta-trabaho kasi may tiwala siya sa ginagawa ko and at the same time, fun din siya. So hindi ko pa siya na-mi-meet before namin gawin ‘yung movie pero ang gaan-gaan katrabaho ni Sue kaya nagkaayos naman kami dito.
