<p>Veteran broadcaster Karen Davila shared a special moment with <em>Nine Perfect Strangers</em> star Dolly de Leon whom she considers a Filipino icon.  </p><p> “[Twelve] - not ‘9 PERFECT STRANGERS’ to celebrate our dear @dollyedeleon, proudly Filipina kicking down Hollywood doors! You make [us] so proud Dolly,” she wrote. </p><p> Dolly was the first Filipina in history to receive nominations at the prestigious Golden Globe Awards and British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards. </p><div> </div><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/2022/12/14/dolly-de-leon-makes-history-with-golden-globe-nomination"><strong>READ: Dolly de Leon makes history with Golden Globe nomination</strong></a></div><div><br/></div><p>In her post, the broadcaster shared some photos of themselves at a dinner she hosted in her residence which was also attended by other celebrities including Iza Calzado, Alessandra De Rossi, and Alora Sasam. </p><p> ABS-CBN&#x27;s President and CEO Carlo Katigbak was also spotted in the photos shared by Karen. </p><p> “What a joy to be around your authenticity, humility &amp; light,” she told Dolly in her post’s caption.  </p><p> According to Karen, it took a year for the dinner to finally push through.  </p><p> In the post’s comment section, Dolly thanked Karen and her husband, DJ Sta. Ana, for organizing the dinner.  </p><p> “Thank you for such a beautiful night with beautiful people, Karen and DJ,” Dolly expressed.  </p><p>Meanwhile, Iza, who was also present at the dinner, also extended her gratitude to the couple.  </p><p> “Such an insightful and inspiring evening with great people. Nawawala na yung kaba ko!” she said, referring to her co-stars in <em>Nine Perfect Strangers</em> like Nicole Kidman, Melissa McCarthy, and Christine Baranaski, among others. </p><div> </div>
