<p>Last year, Juliana Gomez, the only daughter of celebrity couple Richard and Lucy Torres-Gomez, earned accolades for her family and her school by bringing home the gold at the UAAP Season 86 Women&#x27;s Fencing division.</p><p>This year, she does her parents proud once again as she focuses on a bigger journey with the Philippine national team after officially qualifying for it last weekend. </p><div><br/></div><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/174953206584110 Richard Gomezs daughter Juliana to represent the country in SEA Games this December.png" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/></div><div><br/></div><p>Richard, who is a former national fencing team member and has belen the president of the Philippine Fencing Association for the past nine years, proudly shared his daughter’s latest achievement in his Instagram post last June 8. He wrote, “Today was a very happy day.</p><p>“Three of our athletes from Ormoc City qualified for the Women’s Epee National Team and will be seeing action at the coming Thailand SouthEast Asian Games in December. In 2005, Richard also took home a gold medal in fencing for the Philippines at the Southeast Asian Games held in Manila.
