Tina Paner reveals the best part about living in Spain

<p>Singer-actress Tina Paner disappeared from show business for a time some years ago.</p><p>In an interview with Korina Sanchez on Net 25, Tina admitted that the reason she went on a hiatus was to follow her heart. That decision gave her what she considers the “best gift” she ever received in life — her daughter Luisane Kristiel. </p><div><br/></div><div><a href="https://www.youtube.com/live/ZcMi2PgoM_Q?si=YasxT-Y1TijzTl9L"><iframe width="681" height="383" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/ZcMi2PgoM_Q" title="Korina Interviews | Tina Paner | June 8, 2025" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></a></div><div> </div><p>The singer-actress lived in Barcelona, Spain for 12 years, raising her daughter by taking part-time jobs. </p><p>According to Tina, the best part of living in the said country was the opportunity to be a mother to her only daughter.  </p><p>“[Ang] pagiging mother kasi na-experience ko ‘yung maging hands-on sa anak ko. ‘Yung ikaw ‘yung magpapaligo, ikaw ‘yung magpapakain, tapos dadalhin mo sa park para maglaro,” she said.  </p><p>Tina raised her child without any domestic help as it was expensive to hire one, she said.  </p><p>The singer-actress recalled her struggles juggling motherhood and work in the same interview.  </p><p> “Nag-pa-part time ako kasi nga I have my daughter,” she said. “That time nung nag-pa-part-time ako, mga 6 or 7 months palang siya so ang kasunduan lang talaga namin [was] kung kukunin mo ako as [part-timer], dala-dala ko ‘yung anak ko. So kailangan nasa field lang ako para dala-dala ko siya, magiikot-ikot ako doon, that’s it.” </p><p>For extra income, she used to serve as coordinator for Filipino events held in Barcelona. </p><p>“Kapag ka may manggagaling from Manila, it’s either mag-sho-shoot or mag-sho-show, ako ‘yung kinokontak nila for the permit,” she said. </p><p>According to Tina, she was still able to do what she wanted to do during her 12-year stay there.</p><p>“Noong time kasi na ‘yun parang happy ako na nadoon ako. And kahit naman hindi ako that time umuwi, nakakapag-show ako sa Filipino community doon sa iba-ibang places,” she said. </p><p>Through her hard work as a mom, she was able to raise Kristiel who is now 22 years old and is now taking a pre-medical program to pursue her dream of becoming a doctor.  </p><p>Kristiel, who was also present at the interview, described her relationship with her mother. </p><p>“I would say that she’s a very cool mom,” she said. “Actually po kasi we’re like best friends. We get to talk about anything [at] any time. And she’s very kind and she gives me the freedom po to decide for myself and allow me to grow.” </p><p>“And one of the things I admire of her is how hardworking she is kasi despite being tired from work, she still makes the time po to prepare my food and drive me to school. And hindi po siya nag-re-reklamo kahit ganon kasi she does everything for me out of love,” she added.  </p><p>Tina explained why she has adopted a best friend-like parenting style, noting that she and her daughter have an open communication.</p><p>“Gusto kong maging normal ‘yung anak, ‘yung nagagawa niya ‘yung gusto niya, nakakapag-desisyon siya sa gusto niya nang walang pipigil sa kanya.
