<p>Bernadette Sembrano marked her 17th wedding anniversary with husband Emilio Aguinaldo IV on Independence Day, Thursday, June 12.</p><p>On Instagram, the ABS-CBN broadcaster shared how they celebrated the special occasion by taking part in a cherished family tradition.</p><p>&quot;17. How do you celebrate? We go to Aguinaldo Shrine,&quot; she posted.</p><p>Emilio IV is the great-grandson of Emilio Aguinaldo, the first President of the Philippines.</p><p>Bernadette gave a glimpse into their family’s annual Independence Day gathering, saying: &quot;Grateful to have INDEPENDENCE DAY as a Family tradition. The thing with tradition, it seems the same old thing but not. I love how today is not rushed and savored every moment from being greeted by Tatay Ver to seeing our Aguinaldo cousins (Chirpy and Sarah Datiles, Kuya Jay and Ate Ems Abaya ). Having our photo with Barbers ( asawa’s Barber whose Lolo is also the barber of Lolo Miong!!!) I miss Papa Boon most especially as I went to the Kitchen outdoor area,&quot; she posted.</p><p>She also recounted another special moment from the day: &quot;Today we had also had Nikki and her fiancé Michael touring the Shrine. How funny that Nikki even remembers being put inside the ICE BOX by her Tito Mio!!!&quot;</p><p>Bernadette expressed her gratitude for spending the day with her husband while continuing the family tradition. &quot;And Kami ni asawa.  Just grateful to be beside him today. Parang nga walang ligawan... Hindi ko mapaliwanag iyong koneksyon na parang ang tagal ko na siyang kakilala nung nagkausap kami.&quot;</p>
