<p>Kapamilya star Maymay Entrata recently paid tribute to her late mother, Lorna, reminiscing about the selfless sacrifices she made as a single parent.</p><p>In a touching Instagram post, Maymay shared a cherished memory from her childhood during her first trip to Japan. It can be recalled that Lorna worked in the country for several years to support her family.</p><p>&quot;I still remember this photo when my mother was so happy to take us out. It was our first day in Japan. She told us that if we counted one thousand steps with her, we would get a prize at the finish line. So we started walking.. one count per step,&quot; she shared.</p><p>Maymay fondly remembered how her mother rewarded them with a sweet treat.</p><p>&quot;We didn’t feel tired because we knew there was a prize waiting for us at the end. She was smiling the whole time. When we finally reached the end, we found ourselves at McDonald’s. Our prize was ice cream 🍦 She bought it for us. And I can still perfectly remember how happy we were… how thankful we were,&quot; she stated.</p><p>The Kapamilya star then opened up about her mother’s hardships and determination in raising them. &quot;Later on, I learned that my mother never had her own car or any easy way to get around. She walked everywhere, every day, working multiple jobs just to provide for us. Those smiles of hers will forever stay in my mind. And for that, I’ll always be grateful.</p><p>She also expressed how deeply she misses her mother: &quot;Sobrang miss ko na si Inay but may this memory bless you as it has blessed me. To all the single mothers out there—saludo po kami sa inyo,&quot; she said.</p><p>Maymay’s mother passed away in May after battling cancer. At the time, the actress took to Instagram to announce the heartbreaking news.</p><p>“Mahal kong Inay, Isang malaking karangalan na ikaw ang naging Inay ko. Matapang mong hinarap ang lahat ng pagsubok at sakripisyo para maitaguyod kaming buong pamilya,” she posted.</p><p>The actress went on: “Mamimiss kita Inay, mamimiss ko ang taong nagmahal at habang buhay mamahalin ako ng buo. Sa’yo ko natutunan ang mag mahal ng walang kapalit at habang buhay dala dala ko lahat ng natutunan ko mula sa’yo.&quot;</p>
