<p>Having started out in showbiz as a child actress doing roles in the 90s program <em>The Maricel Soriano Drama Special </em>which starred her Diamond Star aunt, Meryll Soriano continued her career doing various roles on TV in different networks, proving her talent and versatility as an actress. Pero I think ‘yung pagiging tatay niya sa aming magkakapatid kasi hindi talaga nakikita ng tao ‘yun eh kasi hindi naman kami kumbaga sumasama sa mga show niya and all that, sa mga activities niya. Hindi kami kita talaga. But he’s just a normal person. He’s a normal father. You know, pinapagalitan niya kami. Tapos sinusuportahan niya kami. Sabi niya, ‘Tingnan mo ako. Araw-araw, maaga ako nagigising. Lunch time tapos na ako. I can play golf na. I can do whatever I want to do kasi tapos na ako sa mga kailangan kong gawin.’ So I try to instill that din sa mga anak ko. Actually, ako ang number one na pinakaboisterous ang laughter ‘pag siya ‘yung nag-jo-joke. Bentang-benta kasi. Hindi ako alam kung anong meron siya,” she shared.</p><p>Meryll recalled a special memory she shared with her dad Willie. ”One Father’s Day, I asked him kung puwede ako mag-shoot with him sa YouTube channel ko, and I am very fond of that memory because dini-direct niya ako. Natatawa ako kay Papa eh. And also, that was the time na parang sobrang proud niya sa mga apo niya at sa aming magkakapatid. So I’m very fond of that memory,” she revealed. </p><p>In 2021, Meryll celebrated Father’s Day with Willie as she shared a rare glimpse of the private resort owned by her father in Puerto Galera. In a 2016 interview with PEP, Meryll shared her sentiments whenever people asked her if she is aware of all her father’s assets. “Alam niyo, ako talaga, wala akong pakialam diyan. Ilang beses ko bang sasabihin ‘yun? Ang importante sa akin, my relationship with my father. Because from the very beginning of time naman, ‘yun lang naman ang care ko. Kaya nga siguro kapag nai-interview ako about it, naiinis ako,” she said. </p>
