Thanks to the shooters, my project manager, my AD and assistant editor. You guys are the best!”</p><p>He revealed that Zeinab had specifically requested a nearly hour-long wedding film to be uploaded on her YouTube channel—a format that diverged from Jason’s usual 10-minute highlight edits.</p><p> “Zeinab requested a team of 10 videographers and a camera jib to cover her wedding. I&#x27;ll admit this was my main stressor - I&#x27;m a 10-minute highlight editor and I can&#x27;t remember editing anything beyond 25. But I&#x27;ll think about that after the event, lemme focus on the SDE (same day edit) first. Just embrace the challenge,” he said.</p><p> To add depth to the storytelling, Jason insisted on conducting a pre-wedding interview with Zeinab and Ray. </p><p> “I insisted on filming an interview prior to the wedding for two reasons. First, it would provide a nice visual &#x27;break&#x27; from the wedding footage and add another layer of commentary for what was to happen,” he stated.</p><p> He went on: “Second, it was an excellent way to know and understand my bride and groom better. It&#x27;s no coincidence that my best edits are ones where I get the chance to meet and talk to couples on a human level, especially in this case, where a lot of things are wrapped in celebrity.”</p><div> </div><div><strong></strong> <iframe src="https://www.facebook.com/plugins/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fweb.facebook.com%2Fphoto.php%3Ffbid%3D1283153529845052%26set%3Da.596031138557298%26type%3D3&amp;show_text=false&amp;width=500" width="500" height="250" style="border:none;overflow:hidden" scrolling="no" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe><strong></strong></div><div><strong> </strong></div><p>During the pre-planning stage, Jason and his team of videographers carefully divided their assignments—covering the bride, groom, details, setups, and establishing shots.</p><p> “Half the battle is always won with proper planning and strategizing. We set the assignments for the videographers for both subjects and placement. The crew was distributed across bride, groom, objects, setup and establishing shots,” he wrote.</p><p> They also curated music from artists like James Blake, Labrinth, Oh Wonder, SYML, and Olivia Dean to match the emotion and rhythm of the same-day edit (SDE). Jason described the editing process as intense, especially managing footage from 10 different memory cards and sifting through hours of material.</p><p> “I started gathering footage earlier than usual and I found my footing early. The second hardest thing to do was manage copying the cards to my machine. 10 cards at a time is no joke. The hardest thing was sifting through the footage. And that I did. I combed through all the footage, watched all the clips and listened to every bit of audio.
