Rocksteddy frontman and It’s Showtime host Teddy Corpuz opened up about his whirlwind love story with wife Jasmin, sharing how he knew immediately that she was the one he would marry.&quot;Nung na-meet ko &#x27;yung wife ko, alam niyo &#x27;yun parang kung sino &#x27;yung ma-meet ko, gusto ko siya na &#x27;yung papakasalan ko. Wala akong &#x27;yung parang dating-dating muna. Parang gusto ko kung sino &#x27;yung ma-meet ko, dun ko siya gustong papunta na. Ayaw ko &#x27;yung parang testing the waters,&quot; he shared in an interview with Karen Davila for her latest YouTube vlog. Teddy first met Jasmin at a birthday party hosted by a former bandmate. &quot;Pagpasok nila nung friends niya, siguro mga apat o tatlo sila, siya lang &#x27;yung parang nagglo-glow... uy parang sino &#x27;yun,&quot; he recounted.He asked for her number, and by the next day, the two had already become a couple. &quot;Sabi niya gusto na rin niya ako nung time na &#x27;yun,&quot; he shared.However, shortly after they got together, Jasmin revealed a significant detail about her plans. &quot;After a week, sabi niya sa akin, &#x27;Alam mo may hindi ako sinasabi sa&#x27;yo. Aalis na ako. Pupunta ako ng States.&#x27; [Tanong ko], &#x27;Bakit?&#x27; Sabi niya, &#x27;Kasi alam mo &#x27;yung fiance visa, para sa visa,&quot; he recounted.In response, Teddy gave Jasmin a bold proposition. &quot;[Sabi ko], &#x27;Sige ganito na lang since one week pa lang tayo, hindi pa ganun kalalim, delete ko &#x27;yung cellphone number mo, delete mo &#x27;yung cellphone number ko, huwag na tayong magkita.  Pero kung mahal mo ako at hindi mo naman mahal &#x27;yung papakasalan mo dun, sa akin ka sasama.&#x27; Tapos sabi niya, &#x27;Sa&#x27;yo ako sasama,&#x27;&quot; he recalled. Teddy and Jasmin then decided to elope. &quot;Tapos after a few days nalaman na nung mom niya na meron na siyang dine-date, na kami na. Sabi niya, &#x27;Babe nalaman na ng mom ko, ni-lock na &#x27;yung gate namin.&#x27; Pupunta na siya ng America eh. Nasa Marikina gig kami, Rocktsteddy, [sabi ko sa kanya], &#x27;Sige after gig balutin mo na &#x27;yung gamit mo, pupunta ako sa inyo, magtatanan tayo. After gig susunduin kita,&#x27;&quot; he recounted. &quot;After gig, kasama ko &#x27;yung bandmates ko, kasi isang kotse lang kami, so sinundo namin siya.&quot;The singer then asked Jasmin‘s hand in marriage after they eloped. &quot;One night sinabi ko, &#x27;Gusto mo magpakasal na tayo? Kasi feeling ko &#x27;pag bumalik ka sa inyo ilalayo ka lang ng parents mo sa akin. Usap konti, ganyan. &#x27;Hindi ako approve,&#x27; sabi nung mom niya, &#x27;Pero nandiyan na &#x27;yan.&quot;He admitted that Jasmin&#x27;s mother had concerns, assuming the worst because he was in a band.Eventually, Teddy was able to prove his true character over her family.In October 2017, Teddy and Jasmin renewed their wedding vows live on national television during the &quot;Magpasikat&quot; segment of It&#x27;s Showtime, marking their 11th year together.While performing alongside Vice Ganda and Jugs Jugueta, Teddy surprised Jasmin, who was in the audience with their two children, by getting down on one knee and proposing to her on air.&quot;Eleven years ago ‘nung magkakilala tayo. Noong una pa lang kitang makita alam kong ikaw na ‘yung babaeng para sa akin,&quot; he told his wife. &quot;Lagi mong sinasabi sa’kin na never akong nagpropose sa’yo. Kaya nga, sa harap mo at sa harap ng buong mundo, gusto kitang tanungin. Babe, will you marry me again?&quot;  Jasmin said yes.The couple exchanged vows on stage in a ceremony officiated by Pastor Joseph Etienne Morales, with Vice Ganda singing during the moment. They sealed it with a kiss as they were once again declared husband and wife.
