<p>Celebrity couple Sophie Albert and Vin Abrenica recently shared heartbreaking news about the passing of their longtime furbaby, Ginger.</p><div> </div><p>In their latest vlog, the couple opened up about the unexpected death of their 9-year-old pet dog, who had been a constant companion in their lives for nearly a decade.</p><div> </div><p>“I’m just gonna share with you what went on the past couple of days,” Sophie said. “We were in Amarra’s room and Vin came up looking like something bad just happened.” </p><div> </div><div><iframe width="1613" height="907" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/FCrVQ612tlQ" title="Ava&#x27;s first competition + what happened to our dog :(  | The Abrenicas" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><div><strong> </strong></div><p>Sophie tearfully recalled the moment she found out Ginger had passed away.</p><div> </div><p>“It took Vin so long to say na our dog passed away na, Ginger. She passed away that morning. At first, I was so shocked. I can’t explain what I felt. It took me a while to go down and check on her. Grabe, when I saw her, she actually didn&#x27;t look like she was gone. She looks like she was sleeping,” Sophie said.</p><div> </div><p>She continued, “According to Vin, he played with her in the morning. She looks like she’s feeling a little bit hot, so he made her tapat in the fan and then she fell asleep, and she just didn’t wake up.”</p><div> </div><p>According to Sophie, Ginger had not shown any signs of illness prior to her passing.</p><div> </div><p>“It was just so shocking kasi it happened so suddenly. She was not sick or anything. She was 9 years old. She was a perfect dog and I feel like I’m not getting used to not having her around. Imagine 9 years, we have routine and I expect her to be their pero wala na siya. She was there for me and now she’s gone.,” she expressed.</p><div> </div><p>Vin also opened up about how painful it was to see Sophie heartbroken. He shared how he found out about Ginger and tried to break the sad news to his wife.</p><div> </div><p>“She cried, grabe. I haven’t seen her cry like that. Tumigil ang mundo ko. Hindi ko alam kung ano gagawin namin,” Vin said. “Kahit si Sophie kahit di niya sabihin. Kahit sabihin niya, ‘I’m okay,&#x27; alam ko na mabigat talaga. First baby namin iyon eh. They decided to keep her close in a meaningful way.</p><div> </div><p>“We decided an ibabalik siya na instead cremation lang ay 50% percent na ash siya and 50% percent na nasa halaman siya. So babalik siya sa amin ng plant which is i-tatanim namin siya and aalagaan (ulit),” he revealed.</p><div> </div><p>At the end of their vlog, the couple paid tribute to their beloved dog with a heartfelt message:: “In loving memory of our dog, Ginger. We will miss you the most. Thank you for growing old with us.”</p><div> </div>
