Randy Santiago undergoes cataract surgery

<p>Veteran singer and actor Randy Santiago revealed through a social media post earlier this week that he has undergone a cataract surgery. Cataracts can affect the vision and cause the lens to become cloudy. The surgery is performed by an ophthalmologist and is a common procedure which is done everyday. </p><div><br/></div><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/2024/4/22/is-randy-santiago-retiring-from-showbiz-1239"><strong>READ: Is Randy Santiago retiring from showbiz?</strong></a></div><div><br/></div><p>“One sign of aging is clouding of the eyes or Cataract which may happen in your 50&#x27;s or senior years. In my case, it was time to have this procedure,” he wrote.</p><p>Randy shared a photo with his doctor, Rollo Milante, as the procedure went well for him. He expressed his gratitude towards the medical team from the University of Sto. Tomas Hospital that helped him as well in the whole process.</p><p>“Grateful and Thankful to Dr. Rollo Milante and his USTH Eye Center Team for the very smooth, fast, painless, and state of the art cataract surgery. I am just so amazed with the result,” he added.</p><p>A glimpse of the operation was shared by the actor-singer in the same post as well. Other netizens spotted his son, Raiko, was present to support his father during the procedure. </p><p>“Pagaling ka Kuya. Thought my son is joking when he told me that he saw you and Raiko at USTH,” a friend wrote. </p><p>“Feeling better kuys,” another fan added.</p><p>Earlier this year, Randy released his latest song “Loverboy” which he worked with multi-awarded composer and record producer Vehnee Saturno. The song is out on several streaming platforms available. </p>
