<p>Filipino-American comedian Jo Koy recently traveled to Kalinga, Philippines, where he received a tattoo from renowned tattoo artist Apo Whang-Od.</p><p>Jo Koy shared photos of the special moment on social media, including snapshots with Whang-Od and the tattooing process itself.</p><p>&quot;I&#x27;ve been blessed by the legend. Mahal kita Apo Whang-Od,&quot; he wrote in the caption.</p><p>Fans online were quick to react to Jo Koy&#x27;s post.</p><p>&quot;Two absolute legends. Mahal ko kayong lahat.  Salamat sa pagmamahal,&quot; he remarked.</p><p>Born to an American father and Filipino mother, Jo Koy starred in several comedy specials on Netflix including <em>Jo Koy: Live from Seattle, Jo Koy: In His Elements,</em> and <em>Jo Koy: Live from Brooklyn</em>, among others.</p><p>The Filipino-American comedian is set to star in the Hollywood movie <em>T</em><em>he Last Resort </em>which was filmed in the Philippines. He recently filmed his scenes for the movie in Palawan.</p><p>In a recent interview with MJ Marfori, Jo Koy expressed his excitement and pride over the production&#x27;s choice of location and the involvement of Filipino talent.</p><p>&quot;It&#x27;s great to finally see people recognizing the Philippines as a great location to shoot big budget movies,&quot; he stated. &quot;We have the background, we have the people who can operate and run it, like we got cameramen, we got actors, we got everything that you need.&quot;</p><p>He also praised the Filipino crew for their dedication and efficiency. &quot;The staff was overwhelmingly making this project move fast,&quot; he shared. &quot;It was great to see my people representing this Hollywood movie and producing something beautiful.&quot;</p>
