<p>Broadcast journalist Karen Davila recently took to social media to share highlights from her memorable trip to New York City.</p><p>What was initially planned as a short and quiet visit turned into a delightful reunion with close friends in the Big Apple.</p><p>&quot;A NEW YORK MINUTE 🗽 What I thought would be a short, quiet trip to drop off Lucas to summer school turned out to be a wonderful surprise of friends converging together ✨,&quot; she posted on her Instagram page.</p><p>The <em>TV Patrol </em>news anchor went on: &quot;From unplanned reunions to being all together to support our very own Sofronio Vasquez’s Town Hall Concert - had the BEST TIME! 🥂&quot;</p><p>&quot;Thank you dearest @loidanlewis for having us in your beautiful home ❤️ Love you! You cannot blame anybody. Kapag ikaw if you fail, you can&#x27;t look at other things, you just have to look at what your role is in that,&#x27;&quot; she recalled.</p><p>Karen went on: &quot;Number 2, my mother told me: &#x27;Karen wala akong mapapamana sa&#x27;yong alahas, pera, lupa, pero if you finish your schooling, you can be anything you want to be but nothing will be served to you on a silver platter. So parang I knew I wasn&#x27;t entitled to anything. I think that was the mental resilience that I had when I started my career which was in GMA 7 by the way, then eventually I moved to [ABS-CBN].&quot;</p><p>Karen has been working on television for three decades now.</p>
