Kim Chiu’s flight returns to Manila

So much so that I caught myself looking for seat 11A–– because, according to the internet, it’s the &#x27;safest seat.&#x27; Except… our plane’s seats started at 21. Hala,” she narrated.</p><div><br/></div><p>Their original flight time, scheduled at 4:30 in the morning was pushed back a little over an hour. The Kapamilya star recalled how minutes after their takeoff from Manila, the pilot announced the sudden turn around.  </p><div><br/></div><p>“Our flight was at 4:30 am, and we finally took off around 5-ish. But just minutes after takeoff, the pilot announced we had to return to Manila due to a technical issue,” she recalled.</p><div><br/></div><p>Kim then shared how she already noticed the crew “going in and out of the cockpit” which already made her “lowkey panic” as she had no idea what was happening. Despite this, she remained calm even if her thoughts were going wild and even prayed for their safety. </p><div><br/></div><p>“I tried to calm myself by sleeping it off, but when I woke up and we were still on the ground. My thoughts went wild. As we turned back mid-air, all I could do was pray,” she expressed.</p><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1752137709330xhwwmzgaxqbf1.jpeg" style="width:300px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/></div><div><br/></div><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/showbiz/movies-series/2025/6/18/kim-chiu-paulo-avelino-to-star-in-new-project-the-alibi-1447" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong>READ: Kim Chiu, Paulo Avelino to star in new project &#x27;The Alibi&#x27;</strong></a></div><p>Fortunately, the plane landed safely in Manila but Kim maintained how “frightening” the experience was for her, despite being grateful for the crew of the airlines. </p><div><br/></div><p>“It was a frightening experience–– but I’m grateful. Grateful we made it back. Grateful to walk off that plane and breathe a little easier. Safety should never feel uncertain, but today reminded me just how precious and fragile life is,” she ended.  </p><div><br/></div><p>Despite the experience, Kim made it just in time to her destination where she guested alongside her on screen partner, Paulo Avelino. </p>
