<p>Bernadette Sembrano opened up about her running journey, which led her to accomplishing a 21-kilometer marathon recently.</p><p>On her Instagram page, the broadcast journalist shared the various milestones she achieved leading to the marathon.</p><p>She posted: &quot;How I ran 21 K from zero love for running in 4 months. Was skeptical about running again. But I had to for those who believe. &#x27;Kaya ‘yan!&#x27; said Doc RI  @rjk_md. &#x27;You will be stronger after injury,&#x27; said Coach J.&#x27; For two weeks, I fully appreciated rest and recovery. The body’s healing process.&quot;</p><p>From June to August, the <em>TV Patrol </em>news anchor then consistently trained. &quot;Strength and conditioning was more focused on running and my weak areas,&quot; she said.</p><p>In August she ran her first half-marathon. &quot;And awa ng Diyos, PAIN-FREE, and WE finished sub-3,&quot; she said.</p><p>On how she survived running the 21-kilometer marathon, Bernadette relayed. &quot;I always show up. I am consistent. But WE finished sub 3 because @wekenrun angels decided to help me ( @eloisagaray and @krisquiachon didn’t want to race). SWAK! They were like bedside nurses reminding us @kim.maglunog to slow down. &#x27;Take salt tabs&#x27; &#x27;take your gels,&#x27; what to take in the hydration stops . And TUBIG na ang lumalapit sa Amin!&quot;</p><p>She further remarked: &quot;That 21K was not a race for me , it was affirmation that I needed that my body still can. It’s a tap on the back from my body telling me &#x27;GOOD JOB on taking care of me. See what I can do . The best is yet to come.&#x27;&quot;</p>
