<p>Former beauty queen Lara Quigaman shared her experience as an educator in Canada.</p><p>In an interview with <em>OMNI News Filipino</em>, Lara relayed that she now works as a preschool teacher there.</p><p>&quot;Preschool teacher ako, meron akong four classes ng preschool. After nun out-of-school care. Iba&#x27;t iba &#x27;yung age group na nahahawakan ko which is good too kasi masarap &#x27;yung feeling na iba-ibang level ng bata &#x27;yung nakakasama ko, nakakausap ko,&quot; she relayed.</p><p>It was in April 2024 when Lara and her family with husband Marco Alcaraz moved to Canada. &quot;Dito kami kinasal actually 2011, January 1 kami kinasal dito kasi nandito &#x27;yung mama ko eh so lagi namin siyang binibisita. Nung nag-decision lang kami kung anong kukunin ko na course sabi ko lang talaga gusto kong maging preschool teacher, gusto kong maging ECE (Early Childhood Educator) so parang tinuloy ko lang &#x27;yung pangarap ko,&quot; she stated.</p><p>It was in June when Lara shared via Instagram that she has completed her Diploma in Early Childhood Education in Canada.  </p><p>In another Instagram post, Lara reflected on her family&#x27;s decision to move from the Philippines to Canada, sharing how their faith guided them through the transition.</p><p>&quot;Our family has always prayed that God would lead us to a place where we could be closer to one another and to Him—wherever that may be, no matter how difficult the path,&quot; she said. &quot;Today, as I attended my convocation ceremony, we also celebrate His goodness and faithfulness. I’m teary-eyed typing this, because today is the beautiful result of every sacrifice and challenge we’ve faced and overcome by His grace.&quot;</p><p>The Miss International 2005 admitted the journey had not been easy, particularly in leaving behind their careers and familiar lives in the Philippines. However, she emphasized that it was a dream long planted in their hearts.</p>
