Maria Ozawa says she has no regrets being once a part of the Japanese AV industry

<p>Former Japanese Adult Video (AV) star Maria Ozawa expressed that she has no regrets being once part of the industry. In the vlog of broadcaster Julius Babao earlier this week, she shared her humble beginnings and how she used herself as a voice for all the other AV stars. </p><div> </div><div><iframe width="670" height="377" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/1xF43mKzdbU" title="EXCLUSIVE! She got enticed by how her friend told her stories of her possibly going abroad and becoming famous enough to have her own TV or radio program. </p><div><br/></div><p>“I was 18 [and] young, right? I was like if I become famous, would I get to travel [to] different places. I wanted to get out of Japan also and I wanted to get famous. If I’m famous enough maybe I could be the voice of the industry to have other people see the industry in a different way,” she shared.</p><div><br/></div><p>Maria admitted that she couldn’t remember the first video she made but could recall how pleasant the crew behind the film were. She maintained that everybody was professional and respectful despite the notion of others when it comes to the AV industry. </p><div><br/></div><p>Due to her work, she revealed that she was kicked out of their house as her mother didn’t approve of what she was doing. Despite what happened, Maria remained focused on her goal and didn’t stop until she achieved her dreams.</p><div><br/></div><p>“When I started, they found out within a month or so because they saw the billboards, the magazines. My mom, she’s the crazy Asian type, once you piss her off she’s mad… I had [told] myself that when I turn 18–– when I graduate–– I’m going on my own. I have to leave this toxic place,” she said. </p><div><br/></div><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/2019/1/10/photos/look-15-sweet-photos-of-maria-ozawa-and-boyfriend-41692" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong>LOOK: 15 sweet photos of Maria Ozawa and boyfriend Jose Sarasola</strong></a></div><div><br/></div><p>When asked why she decided to quit early in her budding career in the AV industry, the Japanese actress shared that she wanted to leave when she was still famous. </p><div><br/></div><p>“If you quit when you’re not famous anymore, everybody’s forgetting about you anyway so you have to quit. I didn’t want to end up in the streets,” she claimed. </p><div><br/></div><p>True enough, Maria made a name for herself and traveled to several Asian countries after her AV stint and has starred in several commercials and films. She now owns several lounges and clubs in the country alongside her business partners.</p><div><br/></div><p>She maintained that she has no regrets making the decision to join the AV industry as it gave her the life she wanted. She assured people that the AV industry isn’t as dark as one would think.</p><div><br/></div><p>“Mentally, I had to be strong [and] stable. I learned that the industry itself isn’t as dark as people think and that was a good image that I got from the industry. That’s how I wanted to spread to the people, I wanted to be the voice of the AV girls which I did and I’m so happy that people would at least listen to what I wanted to say,” she expressed.</p>
