PBB Otso alum Hasna Cabral on raising kids as a solo mom: 'Life is never easy for us'

<p><em>Pinoy Big Brother Otso</em> alumna Hasna Cabral turned emotional as she looked back on her journey of raising her two children as a single mother.</p><p>On her social media page, Hasna shared how grateful she is for being able to give her kids, who are now in their teens, a good life.</p><p>“A LIFE WELL-LIVED ✨ Baste turned 12 this year. Bash turned 15. By 17, I was cleaning houses, tutoring, and nannying Korean kids. Then came the call center years, long midnight shifts while juggling college, and running on almost no sleep. 😴.”</p><p>Hasna revealed how she worked hard to raise her children by herself and took on the role of both mother and father. </p><p>“I never had the luxury of asking my parents for baon. I had to raise myself. When I became a young mom, I had to raise my kids all on my own. With absent fathers lost to vices, abuse and cheating, I juggled multiple jobs while doing my best to be both mom and dad.😩,” she remarked.</p><p>Looking back, Hasna said what makes her most proud is not her career milestones, but the fact that she was always present for her children.</p><p>“Fast forward to today, what makes me proud isn’t the glitz and glam of showbiz, the house, the cars, my solid network, or our business. NOT AT ALL. It’s seeing Bash and Baste grow up with a present parent. 🙋‍♀️,” she stated.</p><p>Hasna went on: “It’s knowing they get the sleep they need, and the kind of childhood I never had. Safe, loved, carefree. My resources were always limited, but my PURPOSE and big ambitions carried me through. 🙏”</p><p>Hasna ended her message by celebrating fellow mothers who, like her, strive to give their children a better life. She also referenced the ongoing conversation on “nepo babies.”</p><p>“Amid the troubling issue of nepo babies, I want to celebrate mommas out there who are doing their best to rise from the slums. Let our journey be proof that starting with less doesn’t mean ending with less,” she expressed.</p><p>“Padayon, mahal ko. Padayon. Life is never easy for us.
