Melai Cantiveros admits falling out of love at one point: ‘That’s very normal sa relationship’

<p>Kapamilya star Melai Cantiveros-Francisco revealed that she once fell out of love with her husband, Jason Francisco. They tied the knot back in 2013 and share two daughters–– Mela and Stela. </p><div><br/></div><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/showbiz/celebrities/2025/8/27/daughter-of-melai-cantiveros-gets-hospitalized-during-family-vacation-1101"><strong>READ: Daughter of Melai Cantiveros gets hospitalized during family vacation</strong></a></div><div><br/></div><p>The PBB host shared how normal it is to fall out of love and added how their relationship at that time was “shaky” and Jason may also have had the same feelings as her back then. </p><p>“Alam mo hindi naman talaga tayo perfect kasi nafafall out of love tayo. Kaya yung sinasabi nilang fall out of love, that’s very normal sa relationship. Na fall out of love ako,” she shared.</p><p>She maintained that the reason for almost separating was not because of a third party but rather emotions and pride which were high at the time.  </p><p>“May sobrang malala talaga na I think it’s morphin time talaga namin… Muntik talaga maghiwalay… Siyempre, ugali natin kasi minsan may pride tayo na hindi talaga natin sinasadya–– tao lang naman tayo. Minsan, wala tayo sa mood… Maraming reason talaga sa ugali pero thank you Lord napagtagumpayan,” she added.</p><p>Despite the misunderstanding, Melai expressed her gratitude as they decided to patch things up and their bond as a couple strengthened. Ako naman, pangako ko sa ka relationship ko–– kay Jason–– gusto ko maghiwalay kami smoothly nung time na yun kasi ayoko ng interview ng ganito,” she expressed. </p><p>“Pero thank you Lord kasi si Lord nag give ng way na maging okay kami,” she continued.</p><p>When asked to give advice to couples going through a rough patch, the Kapamilya star maintained how forgiving one another is the key to a healthier relationship. </p><p>“Huhupa din yung galit… Marerealize niyo, deserve ba ng mga anak niyo itong pride na pinakita mo? Kung hindi deserve ng anak mo, mag okay kayo. Masakit nga yung words pero forgiveness is the key,” she closed. </p>
