Star Magic head Lauren Dyogi shared the backstory of how BINI got invited to perform in next year&#x27;s Coachella.In an interview with Karmina Constantino on the KC After Hours podcast, Lauren relayed that BINI&#x27;s recent world tour paved the way for the group to be part of the music festival.&quot;Laging ang nasa utak natin, one way to go international is to be invited in big festivals [like] Coachella and Lollapalooza... It was a vision of CLK (Carlo Katigbak, ABS-CBN&#x27;s CEO) to hire an international group of consultants who will guide us in terms of how do we bring our artists to the global arena, so we are guided by that. Kasi abroad naman agents eh,&quot; he explained.Through the agents, BINI&#x27;s world tour was able to catch the attention of international promoters who are behind the music festivals.&quot;Ngayon when we were able to get an agent nadala tayo sa promoters na non-Filipinos. And these promoters, ang vision talaga nun is if we were able to impress the promoters, itong mga  promoters na &#x27;to, sila din &#x27;yung magdadala sa atin sa festival. So, we needed to impress our promoters, so that&#x27;s Live Nation, that&#x27;s All Things Live,&quot; he further explained.Lauren revealed that BINI&#x27;s recent world tour was an investment rather than a revenue-making endeavor. &quot;Itong recent world tour, it was an investment. Wala tayong kita diyan. It was really a risk on our end. It was really CLK&#x27;s vision, Tita Cory (Vidanes) saying, &#x27;Kailangan niyong gawin yan.&#x27; Because that&#x27;s a month of being away from more lucrative opportunities locally. But we took that risk, we went there,&quot; he shared.During the tour, BINI needed to show to the promoters that they could draw crowds to their concerts. &quot;We needed to be able to prove that somehow we have a crowd, we have an audience, and after the world tour, boom... We had big shows kasi in Dubai, in LA, in San Francisco, parang &#x27;yung the important decision makers were impressed that uy there is something in BINI so we got an invitation to be part of [Coachella],&quot; he shared.<div><iframe width="1265" height="480" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/_ou9MmpNR60" title="EPISODE 54: Starmagic Head Lauren Dyogi on creating Bini, building PBB and everything in between" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div>Lauren dismissed rumors that ABS-CBN paid Coachella for BINI to be part of the music festival. &quot;Sinasabi ng tao ngayon binayaran daw natin, hindi naman po totoo &#x27;yun, hindi ganun,&quot; he pointed out.The Star Magic head admitted that he did not expect that they would be invited to the music festival after the very first world tour of BINI. &quot;We were still not convinced that that was good enough. We felt that it would take two more schedules of a world tour para makakuha pa tayo ng traction especially with the important promoters,&quot; he stated.With Coachella fast-approaching, Lauren remarked that they have to prepare BINI for the music festival.BINI will be the first Filipino to group to perform at Coachella which will take place at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. The nation&#x27;s girl group will perform on April 10 and 17, 2026 at the music festival. Coachella 2026 will also include a star-studded line up of global artists including Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber, and Karol G.Coachella is an annual music and arts festival held across two weekends every April, showcasing top performers from genres like rock, hip-hop, and electronic dance music, among others.Recognized as one of the world&#x27;s biggest and most iconic festivals, it has consistently attracted massive crowds for years.
