<p>Actress and celebrity mom Kris Bernal recently set the record straight after facing online criticism over her house helpers’ attire, following a TikTok video she shared last December. The video showed Kris, together with her husband Perry Choi and their daughter Hailee Lucca, treating their house helpers to a meal at an Italian restaurant. </p><p>While the post was meant to highlight a family moment, netizens quickly focused on the clothing of Kris’s helpers, whom she refers to as &quot;angels.&quot; Two of their angels joined them for the meal, with one wearing a scrub suit and the other in casual attire. Every time we go out, I tell them they can change. Responding to questions demanding that she allow her helpers to wear casual clothes, Kris released a TikTok video on January 30 where she calmly and candidly explained the situation in more detail. </p><p>“Alam niyo bago sila pumasok dito tinatatanong namin sila, ‘gusto mo ba ng uniform o ayaw mo?’ Karamihan sa halos lahat ng mga naging kasambahay namin, gusto nila may uniform so binibigyan namin sila ng uniform. Ngayon, choice nila yan pag lalabas [kung mag-uuniform sila]. Tinatanong din namin sila, ‘lalabas tayo, gusto mo bang magpalit?’” </p><p>She went on to share that she had repeatedly offered her helpers the option to change clothes, but that the decision to stay in uniform was theirs. </p><p>“Alam niyo hindi ko alam kung bakit ayaw nila magpalit. Pwede naman silang mag-dress, spaghetti strap...ayaw talaga nila magpalit. Anong gusto niyo pilitin ko sila? Yung magmakaawa ako [na] ‘Sige na ate magpalit ka na kasi maba-bash ako, magpalit ka parang awa mo na. Magpalit ka ng casual’ Alangan naman na ganon pa? Ang dami-dami rin namang mga artista, mga tao na naka-uniform yung kasambahay pero bakit parang galit na galit kayo sakin? Ano bang ginawa ko? She then shared their perspective, explaining that wearing a uniform is something they prefer. </p><p>“Okay lang sa amin, talagang kami ang may gustong mag-uniform. Wala nang palit palit [ng damit] kasi diretso na [pang-alis yung suot namin]. Ayaw na namin ng more time para magbihis. It&#x27;s not discrimination. Totally different. Kung kinakahiya nyo trabaho nyo then you&#x27;re not right for that job. I think their helper is proud to be with a celebrity! Saan ka nag work? Helper ako ni Kris B. Wow talaga! It&#x27;s something to be proud of! Ito nga uniform namin patunay na nagtratrabaho talaga ako. The actress clarified that the change was due to breastfeeding and not cosmetic procedures. </p><p>“Ayan na naman kayo. May makita lang kayong bago, akala niyo may pinagawa na agad,” she exclaimed.  </p><p>“Nung time na yon, wala akong bra...and siyempre breastfeeding ako. Alam niyo kapag breastfeeding ka, may tendency talaga na mag-[soggy] yung breast mo. May tendency talaga na hindi pantay kasi siyempre hindi naman equal yung milk ng nasa kaliwa at nasa kanan.” </p><p>She ended up reminding the public that natural asymmetry is normal, even pointing out that her eyes and nostrils are not the same size, and asked for understanding and an end to unsolicited remarks.</p>
