Kris Aquino reunites with Boy Abunda at intimate 55th birthday celebration

<p>Kris Aquino marked her 55th birthday with a reunion that brought joy not only to her but also to the many fans who have long followed her journey. </p><p>On February 17, Kris took to social media to share a video compilation of her birthday salubong, held at her home in Makati City. The intimate gathering was attended by her sons, Josh and Bimby, and a close-knit circle of friends who have remained by her side through the years. The room was filled with rainbow-colored balloons – a detail Kris had previously wished for, as she considers this year her “rainbow year” while continuing her battle with multiple autoimmune diseases.  </p><p>“New friends and friends who can count decades of togetherness. Present during the celebration were members of her glam team, including RB Chanco and Jonathan Velasco, who helped her prepare for the occasion. The two, who have shared decades of friendship on and off camera, were seen posing for photos together, including snaps with Bimby. In one image, Kris and Boy shared a meal together with their friends.  </p><p>Their reunion comes months after Boy revealed that he continues to keep in touch with Kris and visits her whenever possible. In October 2023, the two also met in California while Kris was abroad for medical treatment. To my other brother, I love you completely.” </p><p>Kris and Boy’s partnership spans years of television history, having co-hosted programs such as <em>The Buzz, Aquino and Abunda Tonight, Startalk, </em>and <em>Boy &amp; Kris,</em> among others. This time, she made another goal. </p><p>“Previously I said let’s go for 60, 68 seems like a better goal. Thank you for your prayers and good wishes.” </p><p>She ended her message by inviting her followers to leave their questions in the comments section, saying she will do her best to answer them. </p>
