This internal realization remained with her, quietly shaping her identity as she grew. </p><p>It wasn’t until last year that Marina gave herself permission to stop pausing and to finally begin her transition.  </p><p>In her post, she made it clear that the decision to open up about her transition was not one made hastily. She had taken the time to reflect and wait for the right moment, choosing to navigate her journey privately—free from the pressures of public opinion.  </p><p>&quot;I just really needed space to feel it, to heal, to simply exist in my own skin without the outside noise. I&#x27;m grateful I gave myself that,&quot; Marina shared.  </p><p>Now, Marina feels ready to share more of her journey, opening the door a little wider for others to walk with her. She also acknowledged that the person known to many as “Yan” or “Adrian” was an important part of her life, but that chapter is now happily closed.  </p><p>“I’d love for you to get to know me as the woman I’m becoming,” she said. Marina admitted that there is still much to learn, but she knew she wanted to be more honest with herself and the people around her.  </p><p>Marina has long been a force to be reckoned with in the world of drag and entertainment. </p><p> In 2022, she gained widespread recognition as a standout competitor on &quot;Drag Race Philippines&quot; season 1, where she finished as a runner-up.  </p><p>Her talent, charisma, and unique perspective quickly earned her a dedicated fanbase and the respect of the drag community. But that was only the beginning. </p><p>In 2024, Marina made history by becoming the first DRPH alum to compete on &quot;RuPaul’s Drag Race: UK vs The World,&quot; a prestigious international franchise that allowed her to showcase her artistry to a global audience. It was a groundbreaking moment not only for Marina but for the Filipino drag scene as a whole. </p><p>The following year, Marina made history once again by becoming the first Filipino drag artist to walk the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival. </p><p>Marina also released her own music, headlined &quot;RuPaul&#x27;s Drag Race Live&quot; in Las Vegas, and starred in the opening of Miss Universe Philippines 2024, further cementing her status as a groundbreaking performer and a true cultural icon.  </p><p>As Marina continues to embrace this new chapter in her life, there is no doubt that her journey will inspire countless others.</p><p>Her story is not just her own.
