<p>Actress Sunshine Cruz revealed that she recently turned down two acting projects due to her continuous battle with myasthenia gravis. The actress quickly denied the accusation and maintained it was because of her autoimmune disease.</p><p>“Pag talaga botox maganda kaso parang hindi na nagpapantay ang mukha. Tumatabingi na,” the netizen commented.</p><div><br/></div><p>“I have Mysthenia Gravis kaya madalas bagsak half of my face po,” Sunshine quickly responded. </p><div><br/></div><p>Sunshine then shared how ladies should empower each other instead of pulling their confidence down with a simple comment. As she celebrates Women’s Month, the actress advised everyone to never insult the appearance of other people. </p><div><br/></div><p>“Ladies, there is so much power in uplifting one another. Attacking someone’s appearance says more about your character than it does about theirs. You never truly know the battles people are fighting, whether it’s mental health or physical illness,” she wrote.</p><div><br/></div><p>She then revealed her autoimmune disease is the reason she decided to step away from the limelight and turn down several projects that are being offered to her.</p><div><br/></div><p>“I’ve been open about my journey with Myasthenia Gravis, and it’s the main reason I’ve stepped back from movies and teleseryes. Let’s choose to be kind. It’s a much better look on everyone,” she ended.</p><p>Previously, she opened up about her autoimmune disease after she successfully walked in the fashion show of a local brand. She recalled all the preparations she did while battling and getting treatment for her myasthenia gravis.</p><div><br/></div><p>“It&#x27;s been a real roller coaster these past months. I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease called myasthenia gravis which has made building muscle a real struggle. But I&#x27;m so thankful for the strength I&#x27;ve found,” she previously shared. </p>
