Kim Chiu clarifies ‘The Alibi’ timeslot change: ‘Everything is going according to plan, and everything is under control’

<p>Amid mixed reactions from viewers, Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu calmly addressed concerns surrounding the new timeslot of her primetime series <a href="http://thealibi.abs-cbn.com/"><em><strong><u>The Alibi</u></strong></em></a>, offering clarity and easing worries among her supporters. </p><p>Earlier this March, Kim turned emotional as <a href="http://thealibi.abs-cbn.com/"><em><strong><u>The Alibi</u></strong></em></a><em><strong><u></u></strong>,</em> which she leads alongside Paulo Avelino, took over the first primetime slot starting March 16, replacing Coco Martin’s long-running program <em><strong><u></u></strong><u></u><u></u></em><a href="http://batangquiapo.abs-cbn.com"><em><strong><u>FPJ’s Batang Quiapo</u></strong></em></a>. The move brought overwhelming joy and excitement among the KimPau fans at the time.   </p><p>“Hindi ko alam kung bakit talaga (ako umiyak). Nung sinabi nila sa akin naiyak talaga ako. Pa-20 years (in show business) na tayo this April and isang beses pa lang ako nag-first timeslot. Grateful lang siyempre dahil naka-experience tayo (maging first time slot) kahit na kung hanggang kailan man tayo sa pwesto na ‘yun,” she previously said. </p><p>It was later announced that <em>The Alibi</em> will be moved to the 8:45 p.m. slot starting April 6, making way for the new series <em>Blood vs Duty</em> starring Richard Gutierrez, Bela Padilla, and Gerald Anderson. I’ve been reading your comments here on X about the time slot and I just want to reassure you all—no need to worry. From the very beginning, we already knew that <em>The Alibi</em> would be on the 3rd slot.” </p><p>She went on to share that their team stepped in temporarily due to “unforeseen circumstances” involving another project.
