Screengrab</div>She may have grown up privileged and found fame early, but Heart Evangelista revealed that, like everyone else, she has experienced anxiety.Recalling her days of feeling unmotivated to accomplish anything, Evangelista said, “Many times I’ve found myself on my sofa for four days without eating. In the past, I’ve been hospitalized for my anxiety. And I don’t want to go back into that blackhole because I listened to other people.”Evangelista then told Boy Abunda about the things she tried to overcome anxiety, saying, “Madasalin po talaga ako, Tito Boy. I’m surrounded with really good people. So I think importante ‘yun na pinapakinggan ka, na kahit wala silang kailangan sa’yo, nariyan sila para sa’yo to talk about it.”She added that she tells her family and friends if she experiences anything, particularly in her mental state. “I’m very transparent. Madaldal po kasi talaga ako. Kaya kapag may nararamdaman ako, sinasabi ko rin ho talaga kasi I want to ask help. It’s important to speak up.”As someone who lives a very public life, the fashion superstar also spoke about how she handles social media noise, particularly those who criticize her.“It’s very hard. But then hindi ka naman nabubuhay para sa kanila. Mayroon kang goals para sa sarili mo at mga misyon mo sa buhay. Kung titingnan mo sila, wala ka talagang mararating. Madi-discourage ka,” she shared.Beyond glamour and fame, she added, “Maarte ako pero mabuti akong tao. Hindi ka kailangang intindihin ng maraming tao. Only you know [how] all of this can bring to a specific purpose or goal.”Misunderstood? She went on, “Social media is so Photoshopped and not real. I’m misunderstood. Makikilala mo lang talaga ako through a different lens. Kulang pa nga ‘yun kasi hindi ko pa talaga mapakilala nang todo ‘yung sarili ko.”<div> </div><div>Mother’s love</div>The global fashion influencer also discussed her previous rift with her mother and how things have changed since then.“Hindi ko alam kung paano ko nagawa na ilang taon kaming hindi regularly nag-uusap. Ngayon, kung puwede ko lang talagang i-turn back time kasi gusto ko ng additional years together. Dati kasi maliksi siya. Ngayon, nakita ko na hirap na siya. There was a time na pumunta ako sa banyo. Iyak ako nang iyak. Na-realize ko na tumatanda na siya,” she opened up.Crying in her expensive outfit, she added, “Makikipagpatayan talaga siya para sa akin. Siya talaga ang nakakaalam ng laman ng puso ko kasi galing ‘yun sa kanya. As years go by, hindi niya nakalimutan kung sino ako. Salamat kasi hindi ko talaga mararating ‘yung narating ko kung hindi dahil sa kanya.”While wiping her tears pouring down her glowing skin, Evangelista offered this advice: “We are so blessed to have mothers. Kung malayo kayo sa mga magulang n’yo, it’s not worth whatever success. Time is priceless talaga.”
