Yasmien Kurdi files a complaint with DepEd on daughter’s bullying case: ‘Parents and kids, SPEAK UP!’

<div><em>Content Warning: The following article mentions bullying. </em></div><p>Kapuso actress Yasmien Kurdi has officially taken her complaint to the Department of Education (DepEd) following the bullying incident her daughter Ayesha experienced.</p><p>The actress shared photos of her visit to the DepEd Central Office in Manila with her husband, Rey Soldevilla, and their legal team, where they filed a complaint about what her daughter Ayesha experienced in her previous school.</p><p>“We are deeply grateful to Atty. Ade, Atty. Paeng, Atty. Rej, and Atty. Jojo for their unwavering support and guidance to our family. As her parents, we will always stand by her and protect her,” she said.</p><p>She added: “This is not just about one child, it is about accountability! At the time, Yasmien also criticized how some parents and the school responded to the situation.</p><p>“I am not surprised that the parents of bullies come to their rescue. However, twisting events and claiming it was a regular student meeting and questioning back my daughter&#x27;s behavior is absurd,” she wrote.</p><p>Following the incident, Yasmien took steps to support her daughter’s recovery, including therapy and withdrawing her from the school. Ayesha was later enrolled in a homeschooling program.</p><p>“I’m so sorry, Ayesha. You have to go through all of this because I am your mom. But I will always be here for you. I will protect you with all my life.
