MANILA -- Years after his split from former on- and off-screen partner Liza Soberano, actor Enrique Gil said he is now ready to love again.&quot;I think I&#x27;ve just been so closed out for such a long time... If He thinks that that&#x27;s the person, then you know, so be it,&quot; he added.When asked if he dated during the times he was on hiatus, the actor said: &quot;I&#x27;ve been talking to people after such a long time. Maybe check on each other. But my life is all here, her life is there. I just wish her all the best of course. I really hope everything works out for her there and all her dreams will come true. I&#x27;m happy for whatever is going on for her right now.&quot;Enrique also echoed Soberano&#x27;s statement that what they had was a beautiful ending.&quot;I think the respect will always be there. I think we&#x27;ll always have some sort of love for each other because we basically grew up together. That&#x27;s how we are,&quot; he said.Gil described Soberano as her childhood best friend. &quot;I would consider that. She was my childhood sweetheart. We really had some really, really great memories and I&#x27;m just really thankful for those memories,&quot; he said.Last year, Soberano finally confirmed the nearly three-year split with Gil.
