EXCLUSIVE: Joy Barcoma dreams of working with Vice Ganda, shares message to next Miss Earth PH

<p>From representing the Philippines on the international stage to exploring opportunities in television, Miss Earth Philippines 2025 Joy Barcoma is embracing a year of growth, purpose, and new possibilities.</p><p>In an exclusive interview with <strong>PUSH ABS-CBN</strong> during the <em>Because She Can: Preventive Health for a Thriving Future-A Women’s Health</em> roundtable event, Joy expressed gratitude to fans and netizens who supported her.</p><p>“Never expected any of it but I’m so grateful that I get to experience these things. What I’m most grateful for is the support of the people because if it weren’t from them, it will never be possible for me,” Joy said.</p><div><br/></div><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1782020144239NEW THUMB - 2026-06-21T133802.161.jpg" style="width:660px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/></div><div><br/></div><p>The beauty queen said that the support she has received from fans continues to motivate her as she takes on new opportunities.</p><p>“All my appreciation goes out to the people who believes in me and all the people who decided that I’m worthy of their support because after all, kahit naman gaano kalakas ang boses, kahit gaano nation gamitin ‘yung plataporma natin, if no one listening to us, it will all go to waste,” Joy added.</p><p>Still, she encouraged others not to be afraid of using their voices, saying: “But then again, don’ t be afraid. Don’t to be tired of using your platform because lagi’t laging may makikinig, lagi’t laging mayroong makakakita.”</p><p>Since representing the country in Miss Earth, Joy has remained active in the public eye. I like trying new things. I like going out of my comfort zone and I’m very adventurous as a person, so if I feel I can do it, I will do it. That’s one thing I am sure of. I am open to working with everybody and anybody,” she stated.</p><p>Among the personalities she hopes to work with one day, Joy named Kapamilya host and Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda.</p><p>“I feel like it’s going to be Meme Vice. I love her wisdom and I like her influence and I feel like magkakasundo kami sa humor. I have worked with her pero hindi pa kami nakakapagusap. Soon. Long before pa naman I became a beauty queen or influencer, if I may call myself that, I have already been using my platform for voicing out my opinions, my insights about things,” she said.</p><p>“It&#x27;s also a way for me to learn more from other people, learn more from these things, learn more from the community and also at the same time share my knowledge to the people. I’m gonna tell you to carve your own path, and you make sure that you are worthy of the crown. That’s the most important part of it. I won&#x27;t recommend that you follow my footsteps because I believe that you can create your own path, you can create your own legacy.”</p><p>“But, always, always remember that you are not just carrying the crown with you, but you are also carrying the legacy that came with it and you are carrying a purpose with it,” she continued. </p>
