Kathryn Bernardo hopes 'Kath-twin' brings comfort to OFWs, dedicates milestone to fans

<p>Asia’s Superstar and <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/studios/tv/someone-someday"><em><strong>Someone Someday</strong></em></a><em><strong></strong> </em>actress Kathryn Bernardo has nothing but gratitude as she marks another milestone in her career with the unveiling of her Madame Tussauds wax figure last Thursday, July 9, at a mall in Makati City.</p><p>For Kathryn, the recognition is more than just another career achievement but also a testament to years of hard work, perseverance, and the unwavering support of her fans.</p><p>“I&#x27;m just happy, and today I am just really, really grateful. I feel really happy because all my fans are here. It&#x27;s been a busy, busy month for me and this is very rewarding. Because looking at it, it wasn&#x27;t an easy ride. People get to see just the Kathryn on camera and all, but in order for this to be possible, it&#x27;s the fans that made it possible. It was a lot of hard work, challenges and the lot,” she added.</p><p>Kathryn, however, said the milestone belongs as much to her fans as it does to her: “Maganda siyang gift for the fans. Actually, this is not my milestone but our milestone because this wouldn&#x27;t be possible without them. After its local showcase, her &quot;Kath-twin&quot; will be transported to Hong Kong, where it will join the Madame Tussauds display of other notable Filipino personalities.</p><p>The actress said having her wax figure permanently displayed in Hong Kong holds a special meaning, as the city played a significant role in her career being the setting of one of her blockbuster films.</p><p>“Joy will be there in Hong Kong very, very soon. Hong Kong will always have a special place in my heart. We shot <em>Hello, Love, Goodbye</em> there and that project made a big, big impact in my career. We created Joy there. I have so many memories there. I think it just the perfect place to put my ‘Kath-twin’ kasi they don’t get to go home naman too often, so at least we get a piece of the Philippines there. I hope I&#x27;ll be able to bring a smile sa mga ‘di nakakauwi nating mga kababayan,” she said.</p><p>Kathryn also expressed pride in joining the growing roster of Filipino personalities immortalized at Madame Tussauds, including boxing legend Manny Pacquiao, beauty queens Pia Jauncey and Catriona Gray, actress-host Anne Curtis, and theater star Lea Salonga.</p><p>“Of course, all the tourists there will see another Filipino. I’m the fifth alongside these icons Manny Pacquiao, Pia and everyone else. Thank you for that,” she expressed. “I have a lot of goals, but what I’ve learned siguro, especially last year, is that I need to savor everything and just to enjoy it. I don&#x27;t want to rush anything.”</p><p>“I have a lot of goals but sometimes we are so focused on the future that we don&#x27;t get to appreciate the present anymore.
