Gigie Cruz, ABS-CBN News/File</div>MANILA -- Comedienne and television host Melai Cantiveros-Francisco is counting down the days before she reunites with Filipino fans in Australia as part of the star-studded ASAP XP Australia 2026, saying she is excited to personally give back to overseas Filipinos through music, laughter, and entertainment.Melai shared that she is looking forward to seeing Kapamilyas, especially overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), whom she described as modern-day heroes.“Sobra akong 100% excited talaga na makita ang mga classmates natin diyan sa mga Kapamilya sa Australia,” she said. “Excited din akong makapag-bonding ang ating mga TFC subscribers diyan kasi sila talaga ang ating mga superhero, ang ating mga OFW.”Known for her trademark humor, Melai joked that while she may not know if audiences are excited to see her specifically, she is determined to give her all on stage.“Basta ako, gagawin ko lang ang best ko. Give back natin ito sa kanila. Pangalawang heroes natin sila na lumaban sa ibang bansa para mabigyan ng magandang buhay ang kanilang pamilya,” she said.She invited Filipino communities across Australia to watch the show and celebrate with the Kapamilya stars.“Sana makita-kita tayo diyan. We promise to give ourselves to you. Mag-picture tayo, magsaya tayo, at sana bumili kayo ng ticket sa aming ASAP XP Australia,” she added.Joining Melai in the highly anticipated event is actor-singer Kyle Echarri, who said the trip marks his return to Australia after nine years.The actor is eager to reconnect with Filipino audiences overseas and experience Australia’s culture once again.“Lagi kong sinasabi, kahit saan ka pumunta sa mundo, may mahahanap kang Pinoy.
