<p>In her interview on <em>Fast Talk with Boy Abunda</em>, Golden Globe-nominated Filipino actress Dolly de Leon sat with the host to discuss her endeavors in Hollywood and what it means to be called a &quot;Pinoy pride.&quot;</p><p> “Dati na pe-pressure ako. Feeling ko parang ang laking responsibility. Pero ngayon, I carry it with pride,” Dolly said. And by the way, Sir Boy, nag-audition ako for that part. I auditioned for that part, and ginamit ko ang Filipino accent ko. Wala naman silang binigay na note. In fact, hinayaan nila akong magsalita nang ganon&#x27;n” she added, emphasizing that she had no problem with her portrayal of Detective Sofia Gonzalez, her character in the American comedy-thriller series. </p><p> “Para sakin, as much as possible gusto ko laging gamitin yung Filipino accent ko.” </p><p> Later in the interview, Dolly noted how important representation is for her on the global stage. Everyone has been nothing but nice to me. I think that goes with the times kasi nowadays mas inclusive na tayo, &#x27;di ba? And grabe na &#x27;yung mga movements against bigotry compared sa &#x27;80s at &#x27;90s.” </p><p> Dolly de Leon first made her breakthrough in Hollywood in the award-winning film <em>Triangle of Sadness</em>. Since then, she has participated in<em> Between the Temples, Jackpot!, </em>and <em>Nine Perfect Strangers,</em> among others.
