Arci Muñoz has spent much of her career in front of the camera. These days, she is taking on a new role, that of a skincare entrepreneur with a line she says took three years to build from the ground up.The actress and singer recently introduced BLUMII, a homegrown skincare brand whose story goes back to the pandemic. Like many Filipinos who spent those years stuck at home and under stress, Arci found herself dealing with stubborn breakouts. Rather than reach for a ready-made product, she worked with a friend in the industry to create her own formulas from scratch.&quot;I&#x27;ve been working on this for three years, probably more, since the pandemic. I had my breakouts, so a friend of mine who has a company helped me develop this product. And it&#x27;s not overnight na parang naisipan ko lang. When my skin cleared, doon ko naisip, why not share it with other people?&quot; she told PUSH ABS-CBN in an exclusive interview.The brand&#x27;s core lineup follows a simple five-step routine: a cleansing bar, a toner, a moisturizer, a night cream, and a sunblock. All the products are approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and Arci said she uses each of them daily.&quot;It&#x27;s FDA-approved, so it&#x27;s safe for use,&quot; she pointed out.She was also quick to reassure buyers, pointing to a return policy for anyone who ends up unhappy with their purchase.&quot;We&#x27;ve been getting a lot of good feedback from all our buyers. And we want to assure you that if ever something goes wrong — hopefully not — we can return your payment and you can return the product to us,&quot; she added.&quot;Because we are open to all of your feedback. We only want to serve and help people bloom into their best skin. That&#x27;s our motto, and so far, it&#x27;s been working for me. I&#x27;ve been using it every day,&quot; she continued.One issue Arci tackled head-on is a concern that has been gaining ground among Filipino skincare shoppers: where local brands actually get their formulations. In recent months, questions have been raised about some homegrown labels quietly relying on outside manufacturers without telling their customers. Arci made a point of being clear about where BLUMII stands, including her plan to work with PDRN or polydeoxyribonucleotide, a repair-focused ingredient that has become a staple in Korean skincare.&quot;Well, for me, ito kasi, I developed it here talaga. So I work locally. But we source — because I will be doing PDRN, which is sourced in Korea. So these are products I use personally. And I can guarantee you na hindi kami gumagawa o kukuha ng ingredients that will be harmful, because I use it myself,&quot; she said.&quot;And I&#x27;m not gonna do anything na talagang ikakasira naman ng product ko. So yun. This, I can assure you, is sourced here or in Korea,&quot; she said.For Arci, the venture is more than just another business. It is something personal.&quot;Our only goal is to help people feel good about themselves,&quot; she said.BLUMII is set to roll out on TikTok Shop soon.
