Raymond Gutierrez  willing to do a BL project and open to acting comeback

<p>Host and entrepreneur Raymond Gutierrez is not closing his doors to acting, saying that he is open to starring in a Boy&#x27;s Love (BL) series if the opportunity and the right project comes his way.  </p><p>During a press conference on July 15 following his contract signing for his return to local television as a primetime news host, the television personality was asked whether he sees himself acting again.  </p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/showbiz/celebrities/2026/1/2/eddie-gutierrez-thanks-supporters-after-successful-spinal-procedure-1938" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong>READ: Eddie Gutierrez thanks supporters after successful spinal procedure  </strong></a></div><p>He revealed that he was once in talks to headline a BL project before the COVID-19 pandemic, but the plans were eventually shelved. </p><p>&quot;Ang dami ring nagtatanong sa akin niyan, especially ngayon na uso &#x27;yung BL and &#x27;yung mga ganong type of stories,&quot; he said. “To be honest, there was an offer before the pandemic, and it was an offer that I was taking seriously, and there were discussions about it. But because of the pandemic, hindi na natuloy.&quot; </p><p>Despite that, Raymond said he remains open to acting again if the story and project feel right. </p><p>“But I think it all boils down to the project. Kung tama ba, kung okay ba yung story. It’s not something I’m closing my doors on, but it’s not also something that I’m actively searching [for]. Wala pa tayo doon. Wala pa tayo sa casting. Ako muna. The challenge for me when I was starting my career was that hindi masyadong accepted yung LGBTQ sa TV nung time na yun. And it feels great saying that publicly because I am...I wanna empower those people. I wanna tell them that, ‘You’re not alone. Raymond began his career in show business as a child actor before eventually finding his niche in hosting, fashion, and creative direction.  </p>
