Jessie J announces split with Chanan Colman: ‘It has been a sad and difficult situation’

<p>English singer and songwriter Jessie J revealed that she has parted ways with her partner, Chanan Colman, after five years of being together. It has been a sad and difficult situation, but we have been focused on navigating the change privately and positively for a healthy and happy co-parenting environment for our son, and ourselves,” the caption wrote.</p><p>As public figures, they wanted the news to come from them rather than elsewhere, as they want to stop the “false narrative” before it even happens. </p><p>“Unfortunately, being in the public eye, this is the easiest way to let people know the truth, before rumors circulate or a false narrative is written,” the statement added.</p><p>Attached in the joint Instagram post is a picture of the three of them together as a family–– something they both will be prioritizing through co-parenting. </p><p>“We will always continue supporting each other with love, respect and care as friends and most importantly being Sky&#x27;s Mum and Dad, so if you see us out and about together as a family, or posting each other on socials every now and again. I&#x27;m not processing it because I&#x27;m working so hard. I also know how much sharing in the past has helped me with other people giving me their love and support, and also their own stories. I&#x27;m an open book. It breaks my heart that so many people are going through so much. Similar and worse,” she previously shared. </p>
