Director FM Reyes gets into a freak accident; Rita Avila says husband is okay

<p>Award-winning director FM Reyes sustained an injury earlier this week after a grinder fell on his wrist. Bumagsak sa kamay nya ung grinder sa may wrist. Smile Smile ako sa event pero ung isip ko ay nag aalala,” she recalled.</p><p>FM underwent an emergency surgery to prevent any complications from the freak accident. Rita revealed how potentially dangerous the situation was as the grinder nearly hit critical nerves that could’ve killed her husband. </p><p>“Isang hibla ang layo sa mga ugat na puwedeng ikamatay ng asawa ko. Sugod ako sa ospital matapos ang event. Inoperahan siya at ngayo’y nagpapagaling na,” she expressed.</p><p>In a separate post, the award-winning director was shown with a bandage and a wrist guard while the actress was all smiles. Other netizens still continued to worry about the director’s condition and hoped everything would be okay. </p><p>Rita and FM first met on the set of the ABS-CBN show <em>Marinella</em> and began dating after it ended. The two have been happily married for more than two decades now and have also worked alongside each other on several projects.</p>
