Carmina Villarroel wants to interview a basher: ‘Ang tatapang nila manlait kapag walang mukha’

<p>Kapamilya actress Carmina Villarroel shared that she wants to interview a basher if given the chance. In an interview with veteran news anchor and broadcaster KC Constantino, <em>The Loyalty Game</em> star explained how she wants to understand where the hate is coming from.</p><div><iframe width="795" height="447" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/zzXucHfUYmg" title="EPISODE 97: Carmina Villaroel: In this season of loving and choosing herself" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><p>“Ang tatapang nila manlait kapag walang mukha,” she said. </p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/showbiz/celebrities/2025/8/20/carmina-villarroel-and-zoren-legaspi-share-secret-to-long-lasting-love-1500"><strong>READ: Carmina Villarroel and Zoren Legaspi share secret to long-lasting love</strong></a></div><p>Carmina recalled how social media evolved throughout the years as it became a tool for netizens to air their opinions even if it comes with hate and negativity. </p><p>“Kasi dati, yung mga bashers namin yung mga reporters kasi sila yung may control sa magazines, newspapers, tabloids. Pero yung mga netizens, wala naman silang power na api-apihin kami or to criticize us. Kung hindi man, sa mga circles lang nila–– hindi namin nababasa,” she said. </p><p>“Parang feeling ko kasi nagkaroon sila ng platform para manlait. I don’t know,” she added. </p><p>The Kapamilya actress admitted how open she is to having a conversation with these bashers as it could allow her to understand the situation they’re in and why they’re able to comment hateful words. </p><p>“Meron akong gustong interviewhin na basher because I want to understand them–– ano ba yung pakiramdam na may nalalait kayong tao. I’m being serious, I’m not being sarcastic,” she maintained. </p><p>For her, she can’t imagine spewing hate as she maintained how difficult it is to say those words, especially on social media.</p><p>“Yung sasabihin mo pa sa social media at mababasa pa ng maraming tao, how can you do that knowing na nakakasakit kayo ng tao kasi hindi ko kaya yun,” she asserted.  </p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/showbiz/celebrities/2025/1/7/carmina-villarroel-pens-birthday-message-for-twins-mavy-and-cassy-1401"><strong>READ: Carmina Villarroel pens birthday message for twins Mavy and Cassy</strong></a></div><p>Carmina added how she doesn’t want to put the blame on the parents of the bashers as she knows no parent would teach their children to be hateful and unkind.</p><p>“Ayokong sisihin ang mga magulang nila kasi may mga ganoong tao na ang babait naman ng magulang—saan ba nagkamali itong mga batang ito? That’s why I really want to understand them na saan kaya ito galing because I want to help them,” she ended.</p><p>Meanwhile, viewers can catch Carmina in the latest ABS-CBN series, <em>The Loyalty Game,</em> exclusively on Prime. </p>
