Melai Cantiveros reveals six-month separation from Jason Francisco in the past

<p>Kapamilya actress and host Melai Cantiveros revealed that there was a time in the past that she and husband Jason Francisco parted ways for six months. The <em>Pinoy Big Brother</em> Big Winner shared this in the latest episode of the ABS-CBN podcast series, <em>Hello Outside World</em>. </p><div><br/></div><div><iframe width="2000" height="1137" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/h57SWXZJGE8" title="Melai Cantiveros &amp; Barbie Imperial: FIRST TIME AAMIN?! | Hello Outside World Ep. 1" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><div><br/></div><p>Melai and Jason met during their time inside the PBB house. Melai didn’t share the exact timeline of when their separation happened.</p><p>“Kami, umabot talaga sa time na naghiwalay kami, ate B, pero walang nakakaalam–– ngayon lang. Because, nirerespect namin ang isa’t-isa–– tatay ni Mela, nanay naman ako ni Mela. So hindi kami pwede mag siraan sa isa’t-isa because we share love to each other,” she told host Bianca Gonzalez.</p><p>In those six months, Melai shared that they didn’t speak to one another, but at the same time, they weren’t seeing anyone else. She shared how she got used to not seeing Jason in the six months but didn’t tell anybody about the situation as nothing was finalized.</p><p>“Parang nasanay na wala siya, nag mind set nalang talaga ako na hiwalay na pero walang nakakaalam kasi wala pa naman kaming pinirmahan na annulment, bakit pa kami mag papaalam di ba,” she expressed. </p><p>It was only when they were both needed to be present for their daughter at an event that they began talking again. Itry natin magsama ulit. So nagsama kami ulit, nakita ulit namin yung rapport, na in love ulit kami sa isa’t-isa. Hanggang mas naging more kami in love sa isa’t-isa dahil doon sa pinagdaanan namin at walang nakakaalam nun,” she shared. </p><p>During the six months of being separated, Melai maintained she had nothing but respect for Jason as the father of her children and didn’t want to do anything that could damage his reputation. </p><p> “Ang relationship talaga hindi ganun–– hindi talaga parang tweetums. No, pag dumaan kayo sa butas at nalagpasan niyo yan, yan ang totoong [love]. Love is nandiyan lang naman, puwede mo matutunan yan pero ang respect to each other, nanatili yun,” she ended. </p>
