Gusto ko i-document ulit nangyaring baha sa amin. Naawa talaga ako sa mga nakatira doon. Lalo na sa pamilya ko — pag nag-video call kami ng pamilya ko hangang dibdib na,” he said in an interview held in Quezon City.  “Sana maawa kayo. Sana may gawin kayo kasi marami nang hihingi ng tulong.”</p><p>The actor recalled how flooding in their area has worsened over the years. “2012, two weeks lang pata humupa. Tapos every  year tumatagal, tumataas. Nung pandemic halos &#x27;di na humupa,” he shared. “Ngayon worst — from last year mas mataas pa po.”</p><p>According to Mendoza, his family raised their belongings and elevated part of their home to cope with the floodwaters that have submerged their residence for months.</p><p>“Nagtaasan na kami ng gamit. Nalooban na. Sa gilid namin, hangang dibdib. Sa loob medyo hangang tuhod. Early this year nagpataas kami ng mga kwarto. Siguro sa tantsa ko lang baka December daw bumaba… Wala kasi naisipan paglikasan— saka may mga alaga kami ayaw namin iwan,” he explained.</p><div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:960px;display:block" width="960"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1786595423044viber_image_2026-08-13_01-10-11-013.jpg" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" width="960"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left">Aljon Mendoza. <em>ABS-CBN News</em></span></span></span></div><p>Mendoza recently earned his degree in Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Major in Marketing from Philippine Women’s University.</p><p>He is part of “#Uploading” starring alongside Dylan Yturalde, Eliza Borromeo, and Zeus Collins, among others. He is also set to join Zaijan Jaranilla, Yukil Takahashi, Monina Lawrence, Sharmaine Suarez and Chikki Magbutang, Pops Fernandez, Renz Verano, The Juans and dwta at “Wish Date: Unchanging Glass - A 12th Wish Anniversary Special.”</p>
