Cha Eun Woo set to star in the spin-off of popular Korean drama ‘Bon Appétit, Your Majesty

<p>As fans await his post-military comeback project next year, South Korean heartthrob and K-pop idol Cha Eun Woo has been officially announced as part of the cast of the spinoff of the 2025 time-traveling romantic melodrama <em>Bon Appétit, Your Majesty</em>. According to the report on The Korea Times, the series’ original lead stars Lim Yoon-a and Lee Chae-min, will not be returning for the spinoff project.</p><p>The K-pop boy group ASTRO member is set to play the role of the male lead in the show. Despite this new project being set in the same universe as the original, Cha Eun Woo’s storyline will be presented through a different story and title. </p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/showbiz/celebrities/2026/7/2/cha-eun-woo-now-a-catholic-after-baptism-during-military-service-1826"><strong>READ: Cha Eun-woo now a Catholic after baptism during military service</strong></a></div><p>Cha Eun Woo (whose real name is Lee Dong-min) is currently on hiatus from showbiz after enlisting for mandatory military service last year where he has been assigned to serve as a corporal in the Republic of Korea Army&#x27;s military band. South Korea mandates military service for all able-bodied men between the ages of 18 and 28. Released globally on Netflix, the drama entered the Global Top 10 chart  of the popular streaming service during its first week of release. </p>
