Anna Cerezo, ABS-CBN News</div>MANILA -- Maui Taylor, Katya Santos, Andrea del Rosario, Gwen Garci, Sheree, Jaycee Parker, Ella V, and Jennifer Lee are set to reunite onstage for the “Bulaklak: Viva Hot Babes Reunion” concert on October 23.Taylor acknowledged that they were inspired to mount the show following the successful comeback of the SexBomb Girls, but made it clear that they are not worried about being compared.“Hindi mawawala comparison,” Taylor said during the press conference held in Quezon City on Wednesday. “But our concert will be different because we want to showcase the 23 years of friendship. It will be an experience for everyone. It is not an ordinary concert. Paparamdam namin ito ang Viva Hot Babes. This is what we have gone through through the years and what we achieved. So when they found out, they sent a congratulations,” she said.Santos also stressed that the Viva Hot Babes aim to encourage women to support one another rather than compete.They also hope other girl groups, including Viva’s VMX Babes, will embrace the same approach.“Sa ibang girl group lumalabas, gusto namin i-promote is women empowerment. We have to support each other. Hindi dapat may competition or ingitan—hindi dapat mas magaling kami sa inyo. We want to celebrate the success of everyone,” Santos explained. “Natutuwa kami [VMX Babes] look up to us. Para kaming ate. Instead of having any competition, it is nice na inspire mo isa’t isa. Happy kami nabuo sila. Different path sila. Different era din sila. Iba grupo nila sa grupo sa amin.” In a press conference for &quot;Ang Muling Pagbukaka,&quot; VMX Babes member Zsara Laxamana had said that she &quot;think[s] we are better.&quot; Santos sees this as as motivation for the younger group. “They are entitled to their opinion. Yung sa amin, we will see after 20 years. After being in the business for 20 years like us,” she said.Taylor, meanwhile, pointed out that the Viva Hot Babes have already established their place in the industry. “Kami naman proven and tested. We had hit songs. We had so many hit shows. I think we’re better,” she said. Laxamana later clarified during the same press conference that she did not mean the statement in a negative way, explaining that she said it to motivate the VMX Babes to push themselves further.“Parang we’re doing our best to be better kasi alam naman po namin na talagang magagaling po yung mga ate po namin. So, kailangan pa naming mas galingan po para hindi po sila ma-discourage sa amin. Kasi alam po namin talagang tinitingnan nila kami kung ano yung kaya naming i-deliver sa masa,” she explained.Laxamana added that she looks up to the Viva Hot Babes.“Bulaklak: Viva Hot Babes Reunion” will be held at the New Frontier Theater.<div>  </div>
