Andrew Garfield reflected on how his dreams have evolved over the years, sharing that his priorities today are less about career achievements and more about the kind of life he wants to build.In an interview with Variety, Andrew recalled how landing the role of Spider-Man in his late 20s fulfilled one of his biggest childhood dreams.&quot;I was doing Spider-Man. That was a dream from 40 years ago, so I was checking off one of my big dreams. I was also checking off just being an actor,&quot; he recounted. These days, however, the actor said his dreams have become more grounded and focused on his personal life.&quot;I still have dreams, but they’re slightly more earthbound than my previous ones. They’re maybe a bit more philosophical and existential than achievement-based. Now I think it’s more I want a certain quality of life. I want a certain quality of relationships with my family and friends. I want a certain quality of relationship with myself,&quot; he said.When asked whether he ever thinks about stepping away from the spotlight, Andrew admitted that the thought crosses his mind, especially after a particularly busy year.&quot;All the time. I’ve worked a lot this year. I’ve done like 11 months, 12 months, straight back-to-back projects. I want people to see those projects, so I’m gonna have to tell people about them. I get that. But if I had my druthers, people would just see them, and I could go whittle wood in the Somerset countryside and think about what the birds might be doing,&quot; he said.Andrew first played Peter Parker in The Amazing Spider-Man in 2012 before reprising the superhero role in its 2014 sequel.Seven years later, he made a surprise return as Spider-Man in the 2021 blockbuster Spider-Man: No Way Home, appearing alongside Tom Holland and Tobey Maguire as alternate versions of Peter Parker from different universes.Andrew has since expressed his openness to putting on the Spider-Man suit once again, provided that the story offers something unexpected.In a 2025 interview, as reported by ET bel Arabi, the actor said he would be interested in revisiting the character under the right circumstances.“I really loved playing Spider-Man. I would love to play the character again in some capacity, but I think it would have to be very weird.
