<p>Sue Ramirez mourns the loss of her mother, Concepcion “Chit” Dodd, who passed away last August 17. In a tribute, the actress remembered her as the woman she will continue to love and honor for the rest of her life. </p><p>In an emotional Instagram post on August 23, Sue shared a collection of photos capturing her mother’s life with their family. It also included precious moments from the actress’ childhood and memories of their mother-daughter bond. </p><p>Sue expressed how deeply she continues to grieve Chit’s passing, saying that the pain of losing her will remain with her. “Kung may mas mahaba pa sa habang buhay ganun kita katagal mamahalin, Mi. Ito ang sakit na hindi mawawala sa puso ko kailan man. Hindi ko alam kung anong gagawin, Mi. Hindi namin alam kung paano mabuhay sa mundo ng wala ka.”  </p><p>“Sana alam mo na mahal na mahal ka namin at napakalaki ng puwang na iiwan mo sa aming lahat. Ang pinakapinagpapasalamat ko sa buhay ay ikaw ang naging nanay ko. She thanked her for the life she gave them and the unconditional love she shared with her children. </p><p>“Salamat sa lahat, Mi. Para sa buhay na binigay mo, para sa lahat ng pag-iintindi at pagpapasensya, sa mga lambing at tawa, sa pagmamahal mo na hindi kayang pantayan ng kahit sino,” she said.</p><p>The actress promised that their family would continue to remember and celebrate Chit even in her absence. </p><p>“Hinding hindi kami titigil na pag-usapan ka at ipagmalaki sa lahat ng tao na anak kami ni Chit. Sobrang mamimiss kita, Mi.  Mahal na mahal na mahal kita. Hanggang sa Muli, Mi. 🦋🤍✨,” her post concluded.  </p><p>On her Instagram stories, Sue also shared a photo of her parents’ columbarium, where Chit’s urn now rests beside that of her father, James. </p><p>“Together again,” she wrote.  </p><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1787555847272Sue’s parents urn 1.png" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" width="960"/></div><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1787555857270Sue’s parents urn 2.png" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" width="960"/></div><p>During her appearance on<em> Oh My Gan!</em> last June, Sue revealed that her mother suffered a stroke in November 2025, which affected her ability to speak and walk. </p><p>At the time, Sue described Chit as a strong woman who raised five children while also caring for Sue’s father, who experienced complications from a stroke when the actress was still young. </p><p>In January 2026, Sue then turned to social media to appeal for blood donations as her mother prepared to undergo open-heart surgery, while asking the public to continue praying for her recovery. </p><p>A native of Sipalay City, Negros Occidental, Chit served as Vice President of the Trade Union Congress of the Philippines (TUCP) and as National President of the Confederation of Labor and Allied Social Services, before her passing.  </p>
