<p>MANILA --  Carlo Brian, the son of veteran entertainment columnist and radio personality Jobert Sucaldito, turned to social media to issue a statement about his father&#x27;s death.</p><p>On Monday, Carlo Brian used Facebook account of his late father to confirm Sucaldito passed away on Sunday due to cardiac arrest, according to doctors at the Philippine Heart Center.</p><p>&quot;During the incident, he suddenly collapsed and fell, causing him to hit his head, which resulted in the bruise on his forehead and the cut on his lips,&quot; part of Carlo&#x27;s post read.</p><p>He said weeks ago, Sucaldito was rushed to a hospital in Quezon City and was recommended that he be admitted to the ICU.</p><p>&quot;But if you all know Nanay, alam niyo kung gaano siya katapang at katigas ang ulo in the best way possible. He wanted to keep fighting and continue enjoying life, and he kept saying, &#x27;Kaya ko!&#x27; at &#x27;Okay ako!&#x27;&quot; Carlo said.</p><p>As a son, Carlo said he respected his father&#x27;s decision and brought him home.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/2015/6/19/fresh-scoops/jobert-sucaldito-proud-to-be-a-gay-father-101323" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Jobert Sucaldito proud to be a gay father</a></div><p>&quot;The last two weeks we spent together became some of the most unforgettable moments of my life. We went on road trips, visited places he enjoyed, shared meals, laughed together, and simply spent quality father-and-son time. Looking back, we noticed that his body was slowly getting weaker, but he never complained and never wanted anyone to worry. He always made us believe that he was okay, even when he probably wasn&#x27;t.
