<p>Sharon Cuneta has no plans to enter politics.</p><p>In an interview with Boy Abunda on <em>Fast Talk</em>, the Megastar was asked if she would consider running for public office, to which she replied: &quot;I would consider running away from politics. Tatakbo ako palayo.&quot;</p><p>Sharon explained that she would not trade the life and career she has built in the entertainment industry for a life in politics.</p><p>&quot;I love my life. I love that I&#39;m able to make people happy, thousands at a time in concerts, TV shows, movies. It&#39;s a gift. I take care of it. I love the work that I have. I love singing. I love working with actors new and people I worked with before, new directors. I become family on the set with everybody I am working with. It&#39;s special to me so I wouldn&#39;t trade it for a life in politics, no, it&#39;s a horror story,&quot; she pointed out.</p><p>Despite growing up in a family with members who have held public office, Sharon shared that she was never drawn to politics herself.</p><p>&quot;Ako &#39;yung outsider. Outlier,&quot; she stressed. &quot;Since I was about 20 [tinatanong na ako if I would run]. Okay lang... &#39;Pag meron kaming pagkakamali, hindi naapektuhan &#39;yung buong bayan. Kapag ang politiko nagkamali, may maapektuhan usually daang libo, milyon and that&#39;s a very big responsibility. And I may have the smarts. I may have the heart for it.
