<p>Members of the Kuys Showtime celebrity basketball team admitted they didn’t expect the South Korean team Rising Eagles would be taking the exhibition match so seriously and competitively.</p><p>The Philippine team, composed of Vhong Navarro, Jhong Hilario, JC De Vera, Johannes Rissler, David Licauco, Dustin Yu, River Joseph, Billy Crawford, and others, went up against the South Korean team, featuring K-pop stars Minho of SHINee, Jeong Jinwoon of 2AM, and Johnny of NCT.</p><p>“Nagulat kami kasi ang lalaki ng kalaban namin. Hindi namin in-expect ganoon sila ka-seryoso. Sobrang seryoso pala…Pero dugong Pinoy kaya natin lumaban kahit malaki sila,” Hilario explained in an interview.</p><p>“They were super serious. Kaya collectively as a team kailangan natin maging seryoso din,” Licauco recalled.   </p><div><br/></div><div><iframe src="https://www.facebook.com/plugins/video.php?height=476&amp;href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Freel%2F1359742298918751%2F&amp;show_text=true&amp;width=267&amp;t=0" width="267" height="591" style="border:none;overflow:hidden" scrolling="no" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><div><br/></div><p>The Kapuso star also shared that they were caught off guard by how physical the game turned out to be. “It was a very, very physical game. I thought it would just be for fun. Akala ko nga FIBA games,” he joked.</p><p>“Kahit pisikal, nag-enjoy naman,” Rissler chimed in.</p><p>Yu, meanwhile,  said that although heated and intense moments were inevitable, everyone remained a good sport in the end. “intense naman talaga basketball, it is normal. at the end of the day, ang important nag-enjoy mga tao. Sports lang,” Yu reasoned.</p><p>Licauco also revealed another challenge he faced was that he was initially intimidated by the K-idols. “It was a pleasure playing with that level of Stars. Noong start, nahiya ako  dumikit,” he said.</p><p>Navarro, who served as team captain, assured he’s proud of how Kuys Showtime played despite their limited training.</p><p>“Nahirapan kami makabuo ng sched. Natuwa ako kahit &#x27;di kami naka-practice, &#x27;yung pinakita &#x27;yung game natin hindi tayo nagpahuli.  What more if naka practice pa talaga may time, baka mas maganda laban,” he noted.</p><p>“Ginawa ni Vhong para ma-balance lahat para makalaban,” Hilario added.</p><p>The results of the march will be broadcasted on SBS Korea on January 2026.</p><p>“Malaking bagay mapapanuod kami sa South Korea. Kalaro namin mga superstar sa Korea. Malaking karangalan,” Navarro shared.</p><p>Beyond the scores  members  of Kuys Showtime said the exhibition match was an experience for the books.</p><p>“Super enjoy, super grateful. Sana napasaya namin mga tao,” Joseph said.</p><p>“Panalo mga nanuod.
