Each stop will feature wines paired with the restaurant&#x27;s curated menu from selected producers -- Tedeschi from Italy, Grand Fidèle from France, Faustino from Spain, and Bread and Butter from the United States.While AWC (A Wine Company) and its retail arm Winedrop still organize traditional wine dinners, they&#x27;re better-known for out-of-the-bottle wine activities that make knowing about wine happy communal experiences.<div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1739427207593Casino Du Vin at winedrop.jpg" style="width:950px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" alt="Casino Du Vin. There was a contrast to the light chilled whites and rosés from New Zealand winery Alan Scott paired with pass-arounds from collaborator hotel Shangri-La Mactan to the full-bodied reds with the post-cruise dinner.Their next project is a combination golf-wine tasting tournament dubbed &quot;Sip and Swing&quot; which will be held in Mimosa. They&#x27;re still in the planning stages but the base idea is to have a wine station every three holes. This is still a tournament, so there will be prizes up for grabs.JP Guillot, managing partner of AWC, noted that the wine market here is still small but slowly improving. He cited the popularity of American restaurants where the beverage of choice are colas and iced teas; tourists ordering cocktails or cold beers, particularly when travelling out of Manila, because of the improper storage and serving of wine. But because of renewed focus on gastronomy, restaurants are more conscious of properly pairing, serving, and storing wine.One insight he had was with the traditional wine dinners, where the food and wine are the focus and guests just get to interact with people beside them, if at all. In this case, it would be a more comfortable experience to just go out with friends and just order food and wine a la carte rather than sitting down to dinner with complete strangers.&quot;Wine should be fun! Wine should be about creating experience! But coming from Guillot, the wines are really not the number one focus of the Jeepney Wine Tour and the team&#x27;s other initiatives. He said it&#x27;s more about people having fun, discovering new places, and meeting new people -- all while enjoying and discovering wine.&quot;Wine is something that brings people from different social lives, different businesses, different ages, different nationalities, and different religions. Wine is just the excuse of all being together and tipsy in a place that we might never have met before. Because of these events, we say &#x27;Hello. I&#x27;m glad to meet you&#x27; at the beginning of the event. And at the end of the event, we are best friends,&quot; he said. The Jeepney Wine Tour takes off on February 15 and is priced at P5,990 per ticket.
